Yeovil Town added another three points to their total to help secure third place in the League with this convincing win over Southend United.
But it hadn't all been plain sailing as a confident Southend side had hit back in the second half and only the 81st. minute red card for Kevin Maher turned the game in Yeovil's favour.

Gary Johnson had again tinkered with his team giving Andrejs Stolcers a midfield role on the right while retaining Bartosz Tarachulski up front with Phil Jevons.
Yeovil came out with all guns blazing and although it wasn't all one way traffic the flow was generally towards the Southend goal.
Indeed in one attacking run it was the unlikely figure of Michael Rose who rattled the Southend cage the most. His 40 yard run and shot ending up being deflected out for a corner by Andy Edwards.
For Southend Wayne Gray, was proving to be the biggest threat and his shot on goal was well saved by Chris Weale.
Paul Terry was making constant runs from full back to back up Rose on the left and the constant onslaught was causing Southend to give away free kick after free kick but Yeovil seemed unable to make that killer pass to open the Shrimpers defence.
Gray had another chance when he was one on one with Chris Weale following a nice through ball from Gower but Weale again saved.
Stolcers was doing some fine work down the right flank and only his final ball was missing as Yeovil kept the pressure on.
Lee Johnson and Gavin Williams should have combined to open the scoring when Southend keeper flapped at Johnson's cross but Williams couldn't put the ball away as he fired his shot wide.

As half time approached so Yeovil upped the pressure and after a series of free kicks just outside the area where Stolcers and Jevons were getting flattened for a past time the goal finally came.
After thumping a shot against the bar seconds before, Phil Jevons was on hand to head home from a Gavin Williams cross to finally give Yeovil a lead their play had richly deserved.
So the natives were able to enjoy their pie that little bit more at half time on a bitterly cold wet afternoon.
Half Time: Yeovil Town 1 Southend United 1
What was now needed was to kick on and cement the situation but Yeovil started the second half rather pensively and allowed Southend to take the initiative.
As the home side defended far too deeply Southend got their shooting boots on and when Yeovil gave away a free kick on the left and once again Yeovil got done from a set piece situation.
Lewis Hunt's free kick in was headed home from close range by Adam Barrett in the 62nd. minute. To be fair though, Yeovil's reluctance to go forward had given the Shrimpers that edge at this stage of the game and they deserved their equalizer.
Yeovil were now forced to push out again but Southend had got the wind in their sails and it took Yeovil quite a while to really exert their superiority again.
Managers have to stand or fall by their decisions and Gary Johnson's substitutes certainly helped to turn the game the Glovers way again.
When Gall and Lindegaard came on for Stolcers and Terry the tempo was upped again and Gall started to cause havoc on the right and as has been proved before Tarachulski certainly has a liking for Gally's crosses.
The pair tried to link together in the 79th. minute but the big Pole put his header wide but it was to prove just a reprieve for Southend.
When Maher again chopped Gavin Williams just outside the area he earn't Yeovil yet another free kick in a dangerous position. It also earn't him an early bath for a second yellow card, but it was to prove the catalyst for Yeovil.

Johnson curled in the free kick and who should pop up at the far post but "No Worries Mate" The Pom turned Aussie, Scott Guyett to sweep home his first league goal for Yeovil.
It was certainly an enjoyable moment for Scotty as his extravagant celebration showed, but more important it put Yeovil back in front with time running out for Southend.
But The Glovers weren't totally done yet for virtually straight from the kick off Kevin Gall ran down the right and put over the perfect cross and Bartosz did the rest to take him to four goals in three games and certainly secure the points for Yeovil.
