Russell Slade looked on in despair as once again Yeovil gave away a well deserved lead to go down 2-1 to Millwall at The New Den yesterday.
A Steve Mildenhall mistake at the end of a fifteen minute concerted period of pressure was enough to hand all three points to Millwall in a game The Glovers had looked capable of winning.
Matty Rose returned in midfield at the expense of Gary Dempsey and the first half display was a return to the more solid away performances that Yeovil fans had been used to.
Yeovil's first good chance fell to Paul Warne on 14 minutes when he shot wide of the post, having been put through by Peltier and then Gary Alexander went close for Millwall, but in general both defences looked to be on top.

Peltier and Rose both received yellow cards in a scrappy half were chances were at a premium.
Yeovil started the second half in a far more lively fashion and Anthony Barry went close when his shot was blocked and Nathan Jones had a free kick saved by Pidgeley.

On 49 minutes the Glovers went into a deserved lead. Nathan Jones put in a great cross that Lloyd Owusu headed down for James Walker to volley home from an acute angle for his second goal in two games.

Suddenly it was all Yeovil as they swarmed in on Millwall trying to tie up the match. First Walker had a great chance but was unable to control his cross and then Paul Warne had a chance but Pidgeley saved well from 20 yards.
It was a period of the game that was so set up for Yeovil to win but The Glovers failed to find that killer pass to open up a shaky Millwall defence.

Walker had yet another chance but saw his shot block by Robinson and then Darren Way had a chance but the Lions keeper was up to the task again.
When Lloyd Owusu went off for a couple of minutes to have his head bandaged again it seemed to slow the momentum down and just as suddenly Millwall got their game together as the Yeovil defence suddenly knew what Davy Crockett went through at the siege of The Alamao.

The ball seemed to be constantly coming at The Glovers and one such cross was not cleared by Yeovil, allowing Fuseini to get the ball to O'Hara via Matty Rose.
The onloan Spurs midfielder then had all the time in the world to blast the ball past Mildenhall to level things up in the 71st. minute.

Millwall seized on the opportunity and kept the now edgy Yeovil defence under severe pressure and with Adebayo Akinfenwa now on to add some fire power it was all Millwall.
Hodge nearly put The Lions in front with a 30 yard shot that bounced to safety off the cross bar and then with 8 minutes left on the clock all the frailties in the Yeovil defence were exposed again when Fuseini fired in a shot that appeared to be well covered by Mildenhall.

The Yeovil keeper though somehow managed only to spoon the ball into the net to send the Londoners into raptures.
Russell Slade brought on new loan signing Zoltan Stieber for 5 mins and Darren Way nearly broke through at the end only to see his shot saved by Pidgeley.

It was another disappointing result for Yeovil that saw the drop to places to 14th. but with a free weekend next week Slade will be looking to turn things around with two home matches on the trot against AFC Bournemouth and Hartlepool.
