Alnwick made superb saves to keep out efforts from Anthony Barry and Lee Peltier, who was outstanding in a right-back role.
Town top scorer Lloyd Owusu also came close to breaking the deadlock, but Yeovil were forced to settle for a point against a team who were in the Championship last season.
It was the Hatters who were first to threaten, as Andrew burst past Scott Guyett and advanced into the area, only for his cross to elude David Bell.

But the veteran striker's shot was charged down and the half ended with neither keeper required to make a serious save.

Five minutes later Owusu was handed an even better chance from Nathan Jones' centre, but headed wide from just six yards out.
That signalled a period of domination from the home side and on 65 minutes Barry fired in a 20-yard drive that was brilliantly kept out by the diving Alnwick.

Seconds later it was Paul Warne's turn to come close as he curled in a low effort that drifted just wide.

Peltier, who was hugely impressive in his new position, also drew a good save from Alnwick with a low left-footed shot after he burst past Alan Goodall, but the Glovers failed to find the goal that their second half dominance deserved.
