Despite the shock of a 48th. minute Carlisle goal, Yeovil Town came back with two second goals to set up a repeat of last season's match and send Carlisle back North with no points.

Russell Slade made one change to the side that had beaten Hereford on Tuesday with Lee Peltier returning to the midfield in the place of Marcus Stewart who had failed a last minute fitness test.

Yeovil started cautiously and it took until the 12th. minute before Lee Peltier played in Paul Warne but his shot sailed high over the bar.

Yeovil had by far the majority of the possession and it was Warne again on 19 minutes who had a shot deflected for a corner.

Carlisle mounted a quick counter after a poor header from Jones fell to former Huish Park favourite Kevin Gall, but he blazed over Larrieu's bar.

Yeovil's play was much sharper than of late at home and the switch to 4-3-3 seemed to be having the desired effect on the chances they created.

First Owusu tested the Carlisle keeper with a header and then a long range shot from Warne was deflected for a corner.

Owusu and Barry combined a minute later but Barry's powerful shot was blocked but on the break Carlisle tested Larrieu with a cross from Kevin Gall.

Larrieu had to be on his toes again in the 43rd. minute when a header from a free kick by Danny Graham forced him into a decent save.

So as the teams went in at half time Russell Slade must have been happy with the chances but not so happy at the conversation rate.

A recurrence of an ankle injury to Lee Peltier forced a change at half time and Justin Cochrane came on to bolster the midfield.

Hardly before Yeovil had a chance to get started though Carlisle went ahead.

A cross from Kevin Gall found Hackney unmarked at the far post and he scored with ease to give the side from Brunton Park a slightly flattering lead.

But Yeovil hit back quickly and when they were awarded a free kick just outside the area, Lloyd Owusu was the first to react to Anthony Barry's set piece as he head Yeovil level.

A minute later from another Barry free kick Yeovil almost went in frontbut the Carlisle defence somehow managed to hack the ball clear from the line. Another case for goal line technology.

The goal certainly gave Yeovil some confidence and Warne had a shot over on the hour as Yeovil pressed.

Yeovil finally went in front in the 63rd. minute again from a set piece.

Kevin Betsy was fouled in a central position just outside the box and when Nathan Jones came up to take the kick the Carlisle keeperwas left clutching thin air as the ball sailed into the far corner.

Yeovil continued to attack and had the majority of the play and Scotty Guyett should have made it 3-1 in the 77th. minute but he headed wide when a goal seemed certain.

New Carlisle manager John Ward made a couple of changes but the damage had been done as Yeovil held on to take all the points and move up to 9th. in League One.

A solid performance from The Glovers and a deserved three points and as long as Slade's men can keep up picking up the points with such an injury ravaged squad, when the rest of his injured stars return the future is looking bright.
