"When Jim came here I said that it would be my best signing at Yeovil and he has been. Russell said

"Jims been a fantastic aid and has become a really good friend.

"He has taken the whole department up another three levels in terms of everything and to replace him will not be easy, but he has his personal reasons for leaving and I am sad to see him go.

"The process to replace him has just started and it's in the early stages, but I have two or three that we need to cast our eye over but there will be more in the next week or so."

Jim explained that his reasons for leaving were purely down to being closer to home and spending more time with his family.

"I have had two seasons at Yeovil and during the first season I was travelling up and down from Southampton everyday and last season I did have a place to stay which did help. Jim said

"When a chance of another job came up that was closer to home I discussed it with my family and everything was finalised last week.

"There is absolutely nothing more to my leaving other than the personal reasons that I have said.

" I have enjoyed my time at Yeovil Town and when I go back to when I first joined the Club they gave me a job when I desperately needed one.

"They also helped me fall back in love with the game of football."
