Peltier Hints At Staying
By Nathan Jones
Lee Peltier says he is enjoying every minute of his time at Yeovil Town, raising the prospect of him staying at Huish Park for the rest of the season.
The midfielder or right back is on loan from Liverpool until early January.
The teenager has been one of Yeovil's better performers in both of his positions.
And, as such, manager Russell Slade would clearly like to retain the Liverpudlian. Peltier said: "I have had a great time. I can't ask for much more because I have played all the time and they are a great set of lads with a good manager.
"I am going to sit down with the gaffer and discuss what is going to happen.
"I have enjoyed every minute. At the start I was a little bit unsure because it was a long way from home but I am really happy with how it has gone."
Peltier may be more than 200 miles from Anfield but Reds boss Rafa Benitez is still being kept in touch with Peltier's progress - by Slade.
"The gaffer has sent him letters and stuff and told him how I have got on," he said. "I went back for two weeks because I was injured the other week and everything was the same as I had left it. Everyone was good to me."
Peltier was moved to right back for Sunday's 2-1 League One victory at home to Gillingham.
"It was a good win and we needed it really," he said.
"All the lads had got together and had a chat about what was going wrong and decided Sunday was the start of our season."
Yeovil go to Millwall on Saturday before a two-week break due to their exit from the FA Cup in the first round.
Peltier believes that hiatus might be coming at the right time.
"We have had quite a busy period with four games in two weeks do it will be good to have a rest," said the youngster.
"Everyone beats everyone in this league and no one is running off with it so if we get a good run of form we can be up there."
