Paul Warne is convinced he will have a better season for Yeovil Town next year.

The experienced forward has seen his campaign cut short by a broken foot.

But the former Rotherham and Oldham man is counting down the days until his plaster cast comes off and then there will be no stopping him.

"I haven't been over the moon with my performances but hopefully I will get myself into better shape over the summer," he said.

"Normally I give myself May off and do nothing and then in June I start putting myself through the pain barrier.

"But this year I have had eight weeks off and as soon as they take the plaster off I will start running again.

"Anyone who knows me will say I can't sit still.

"Last summer I only had three weeks off and I had the stress of coming down here and looking at clubs.

"I think I will be in better shape for a better season next year."
